Meet Obar, one of our partners. AMS treats arenga farmers as partners. We are growing together.
As our partners, the farmers enjoy more income with less time needed. Before partnering with AMS, farmers used to spend 18-19 hours to collect sap (nira), cook at their own kitchen and collect cooking wood. They would have no time left for doing anything else. As our partner they only collect the sap and supply the uncooked sap to AMS. They only spend 2-3 hours with better income. They can use the saved time for other productive things such as farming on valuable commodity on the same land that they already owned. And as we have organic process on this land, the commodity can be sold as organic product as well.
